A question of identity

I am often asked by rank strangers if I am gay.
I do not mind answering them.
In my own way.
However, I find it irksome
when people just randomly
guess if I am gay or not,
sometimes people even
presuppose without
bothering to cross-check!
Is it all a question of identity stereotypes?
I wonder.
It's just important to say that I EXIST,
and therefore I COUNT, I MATTER!

I love and admire people who do not hesitate to flaunt their sexuality.
